My opinion: Orlando's best lineup

After the trades Orlando made figured I would give an opinion on what the best lineup would be for Orlando.

Right now Orlando has 4 point guards which I figure will have to lead to a trade sooner rather than later. Jason Williams and Duhon are of course the backup guards. Nelson and Arenas starting at the point is still at question. I've been vocal about wanting Orlando to trade for a point guard that can score consistantly. Unfortunately Nelson was not that guy. He and Arenas are young players. If Arenas does indeed stay healthy which I don't know, but if he did I would trade Nelson in a second or at least put him up to get some good offers to help the team elsewhere. The only worry I have with that is Nelson and Dwight have great chemistry which would lead me to believe he will be starting. Also hurt the chances of him being traded. I don't like the idea of having two point guards starting. If the team played LA who would guard Kobe? Certainly not Arenas.

Starting shooting guard should be Jason Richardson. Backups Q and Redick. Prefer Redick and Q be the backup for Turkoglu at the 3. Never got to see Earl Clark really play so it will be interesting to see what Orlando got.

Power forward position starter should be Bass with Anderson as the backup. Don't mind them with split minutes. Anderson isn't much of a rebounder, but he is good at the 3. Bass is more of a rebounder and he can shoot the ball at a distance as well. Bass brings a lot of energy to the lineup. I think he deserves this chance to start.

Center obviously Dwight Howard. Malik Allen and rookie center Daniel Orton will be the backup for him. Figure Allen will get the majority of the minutes with Orton coming off an injury. In any case I do believe Orlando didn't get better from the deals, but time will tell of course.

Starting lineup
PG-Nelson
SG-Jason Richardson
SF-Turk
PF-Bass
C-Dwight Howard
6.Arenas

Orlando trade "blockbusters" aftermath

As we all know thee Orlando Magic made some big trades after losing 5 of their last 6 games. A change was needed. I knew it myself. I wanted a trade to happen before the deadline. I've been very vocal about it. Well Otis Smith did make some trades. 2 big trades! 1 with the Phoenix Suns another with the Washington Wizards.

The first trade was reported that Vince Carter, Peitrus, Gortat, 1st round pick along with $3,000 to the Phoenix Suns. In return the Orlando Magic received Turk, Jason Richardson, and Earl Clark. When first hearing about the trade their wasn't anything about Gortat involvement til later. Unfortunately he was involved in this trade. To me the biggest loss in the trade is Gortat. Great bench player for the Magic. He would step up when Howard was in foul trouble or when he needed rest. I was most upset with his involvement in the deal which leads me to believe Phoenix won in this deal. Carter has had a pretty good season. At least at home anyway. On the road not so much. Peitrus is a great defender. He will be missed coming off the bench for the Orlando Magic. He can hit the 3 as well. Carter with a big contract which could lead him to get dropped by the Suns at the end of the season for some cap relief. Gortat is a center that Phoenix could have been looking for. He can finally have an oppurtunity to be a starter. I think he is better than Lopez. Just an opinion of course. May be biased...............

Anyways the Magic receive a troubled Turkoglu, Jason Richardson, and Earl Clark. Turkoglu has been lost ever since his great performance in the playoffs the year Magic made it to the Finals in 2009. He went to Toronto to be with his friend Bosh and get an extra two million instead of taking a chance to be on a championship team. He was no where near his performance in Orlando. He eventually was benched and later traded to PHX. Now back with Orlando where he has won awards like most improved player and so on. I figure he can get back into his old play in Orlando. Hopefully I'm right for Orlandos sake. Earl Clark was just a throw in. Not really a factor at all. As for Jason Richardson who is having a great season thus far in PHX. He certainly can score. Hopefully he will bring that to Orlando. I've been saying for quite a while now Orlando needs a consistant scorer. Big loss defensively for Orlando in this trade. I think PHX got the better end of the deal.

2nd trade involved Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas and Orlando Magic Forward Rashard Lewis. I think personally this deal was won by Orlando, but you can make statements for both teams for why the opposing one. Arenas and Lewis have bad contracts. Lewis is just not having a good season. PPG for Lewis is 12.2. Not good at all. Gilbert Arenas is looking pretty good despite not playing his natural position at the 1 cuz of the addition of John Wall. Got a bit of a problem with so many point guards on one roster. I don't like the idea of Gilbert possibly sitting on the bench or playing at the 2. If Orlando plays LA who guards Kobe? I prefer Jason Richardson, but if he plays at the 3 than it isn't possible. Anyways I'll make a post at what I prefer the lineup should be. Figure this is a bit too long as it is. Anyways I think Orlando didn't get better after both of these deals. To me they have lost more than they have gained. What do you think?

Melo to the Knicks?

Melo informed Nuggets he will not sign the deal that was on the table unless he is traded to the Knicks. He wants to a Knick. How many times have we heard that in the last decade. I think this might be one of the very few have said this with his star power anyway. How will Knicks pull this off? Ball is really in their court. Are the Nuggets not gonna trade him and get nothing. I don't think so personally. I think he is becoming more of a distraction to the Nuggets. Which the team really doesn't need right now. I'm sure Nugget fans are upset with his decision. I am as well as a Magic fan. I had hopes on the Magic getting him via trade. They have good pieces to make a trade more so than the Knicks or the Nets. Knicks will need a third team. Well at least Nuggets hope they get a third team involved to get what they want. Other than Amare their team is garbage. No offense to Felton. Knicks have exceeded expectations thus far. Knick fans should be very happy their team is finally winning basketball games. Which is a plus cuz of the famous arena they play in. Make some more history in it. Nuggets really have no choice in this. They trade him by the deadline which will be best for their team. He will only be a distraction. He may fake injuries to not play for the Nuggets if they don't. I highly doubt if they keep Melo they will win a championship anyways. I say get some value for Melo. Hope for your sake it isn't little. Hope Magic gets a scorer. Prefer a point guard that can also pass. In any case good luck to both Melo and the Nuggets. Been a good run....hope they arn't as bad as the Cavs are without their superstar. Surprised??SurprisedDon't be......STAY JEALOUS!!!Cool

I hate Lebron James.....why? Many reasons

Heat fans just don't get it. I have explained to you several times about this. I disliked LeBron James long before he made "the decision". I rooted against them every single game when he was on the Cavs. Do the same thing with the Heat now. I criticize James for a bunch of reasons. One I don't think he deserved his first MVP award.....I thought D-Wade was the MVP that year. Another reason I hate James......the guy never gets called for fouls like my favorite player Dwight Howard. Howard gets called for more fouls than probably any star in the NBA. Lebron gets the best superstar treatment of any NBA star in the league. In the East Finals the refs were against the Magic. Even people on these boards agreed with that. The infamous foul Lebron shooting the 3 and Dwight got a clean block and called a foul on it. Youtube it my friend clean ball.

Lebron also showed no sportsmanship after the game. Every single year the supporting cast was criticized. Not James at all. It was never James fault for a loss. It was either supporting cast or the coach. No blame for James. He is constantly praised. More ESPN coverage than Brett Favre. It at least feels that way anyway. Every team he is on they are always chose as the favorite. They never win despite all the talent they bring in. Kobe/James commercial favoriting him to have that matchup. How much more biased do you need to be? They bring in guys like Ben Wallace, Jamison, and Shaq. Still can't get it done. Win a ring for the King bs. Gilbert did everything he could to make James happy. Some feel he quit on the team in the playoffs. The guy loves the spotlight a bit too much.

Go into the summer.....he was more talked about than the NBA Conference Final games. Which is a slap to the face to everybody who is still playing. He is praised all the time for his defensive ability. I made a post about a year ago stating his defense isn't as good as the stats show. Which I thought was very true. All the blocks come against guards going up for layups or from a player who is being guarded by another player. I seen times in the playoffs he would guard the guards rather than the forwards. When he faces a guy like Melo the guy gives up 40. When you face an above avg scorer it isn't so easy is it? Melo is basically at one time the best small forward besides Lebron. Durant has emerged. Never really seen them play each other.

In any case he gets everyone talking about him in the summer. The guy is treated like a super hero/King. He is an arrogant ego maniac. I absolutely hate the guy. He comes on announcing his decision date to decide what team he is going to. ESPN was so annoying all day long. We got a big tribute show for Lebron. I mean it was every hour. It lasted like all week it felt like at least. We heard all the predictions and what not. The day of the thing hear about Wade and Bosh wishing him luck and so on. I was so annoyed by the coverage I was ready to turn the channel before he made it. He finally made it and decided to take his talents to South Beach. Getting all the questions out and what not. Than we get the aftermath coverage that lasts for days. Cav fans burning his jerseys and so on. Of course the Heat were the favorites like every year.

His team previously had the best regular season record in the NBA past two seasons. The talent was there in my opinion anyway. He shows no respect to his former teammates nor his former team. His arrogance will not lead him to a championship. Hope he never wins a thing. He is a piece of garbage. Spits in the way of everybodys accomplishments. Especially the scoring title that was won by Durant. Oh I could have won that if I wanted it. How much of a slap in the face is that? Disrespectful idiot. Than he goes on in interviews like we arn't gonna win one, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or even 7. We are gonna have a dynasty. Him and the so-called three Kings slapping every single NBA team in the face. Acting as if he along with them are better than everyone in the NBA. He expects not to be criticized? Look at these messages from my twitter page. Being superstar isn't all fun. You get payed more money than all those hateful people sent you. I'm sure all those millions of dollars he makes can cure his feelings. No good piece of garbage. Hate his guts. Go cry me a river James. You make more money in a year than any of us make in a lifetime. You don't want to be criticized don't act like you are all that. Don't disrespect former teammates and other teams in the NBA. You are not gonna be given a championship on a silver platter. You gotta work hard for it. Cavs did everything for you and you spit in their face. Refs try their best to give you a championship and you still can't get one. Hope you never do. That will be the worst thing that could ever happen in the NBA. No good piece of crap. Cry to someone who cares. Everyone is criticized. I am as well, but I would rather be criticized and be making the money he is making. Get all the fame with it as well. One of the most praised pieces of crap and still cries about it.

East conference playoff seed predictions 2010-11

This is obviously my predictions for the playoffs for 2010-11 Eastern Conference. I'll be unbiased here as I was in the Western Conference predictions.

1.Miami Heat-The team will have the best record in the NBA whether I or anybody else likes it. The refs will lead the way for this team which is why they will make it to the Finals and lose. That is my prediction anyway. As long as they stay healthy I can't see why they won't be.

2.Boston Celtics-The reason I put them at 2 is because they have an old team. Injuries will hurt them as it always does, but with depth at the Center and power forward position I think they can at least keep this high of a seed. Figure Kg will get injured at some point during the season again.

3.Orlando Magic-The lack of consistancy has me and others wondering about the Magic. Even though the Magic have a lot of great talent and can shoot the 3 they are a bit too inconsistant for my liking which will hurt them throughout the season unless they make a trade before the deadline which I hope they do. Bring Melo to Orlando!!

4.Atlanta Hawks-They are doing pretty well thus far into the season, but they as always will fail one way or another come playoff time. A regular season team!! Prove me wrong Atlanta!

5.Chicago Bulls
-They are doing just fine thus far without their big acquistion of the off-season in Boozer. I believe they will make it to the Conference Semi's, but no farther.

6.New Jersey Nets-This is a surprise pick, but I'm basing this on believing they will end up with Melo which will lead them to the playoffs. They may be a better seed than that if they end up with Melo o. Didn't want a bunch of hooplah if you get what I'm saying.

7. Milwaukee Bucks-This team has a solid team. Probably would have went somewhere last year if it wasn't for Boguts injury, but they did beat the Hawks in game 7 to make it to the divisional rounds. They achieved more than expected. congrats to Bucks wish them the best this season as well.

8.New York Knicks-Just figure they will end up with the final spot.

Top 5 NBA teams 2010-11 season

1.LA Lakers-starting 5 is arguably the best in the league today. Reigning NBA champs going for a 3peat. Bench is very strong this year.

2.Boston Celtics-starting 5 looks very strong......arguably the best starting 5 as well. Bench is still at question at this point. At least at the shooting guard/sf position. Like the additions of Shaq and Jermaine during the off-season. Perkins will be returning in February I believe.

3.OKC Thunder-Very good young and talented team. One of the favs to knock off LA. To me they are the best team in the West with the exception of the Lakers of course. Durant is one of the top candidates to win the MVP.

4.Miami Heat-2 superstars and the rest of role players. Medias fav to win the NBA championship.

5.Orlando Magic-Despite the loss to Miami I believe they can get back to form. Hopefully make a trade before the deadline. Hoping for Melo. Need a consistant scorer. Wouldn't be sad with CP3 either. Dwight Howard is improving his offensive game. Dominant on the defensive end looking for his 3rd straight defensive player of the year award.
