A series that might be the most anticipated more so than the NBA Finals matchup this year. A matchup between Boston and Miami. It all started with the "Decision" in the summer. Ever since fans all across the NBA has booed the team. A lot of media/fan/player backlash to Lebron. That is why this series is so important. Before apparently Lebron didn't have the talent around him. The Cav fans along with the rest of "Lebron fans" stated it was coaching or not enough talent around him. Again the guy did lead the Cavs to the league's best record during the regular season. Couldn't get it done in the playoffs. Now he joined 2 of his friends in Miami. Recruited veteran players to join him on the mission to win a championship. Asking vets to take less money as well. The Big 3 or the Heatles of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh. Lebron and the Heatles have no more excuses. Talent won't be the issue. Lebron is now playing with 2 all-stars. A top 5 player in Dwayne Wade. We all know who will be blamed though right? Spoelstra! I figure the guy will be fired if the Heat lose this series. No doubt in my mind.
As far as the Celtics go.....they have defeated Lebron James 2x in the last 3 years in the playoffs. They also defeated Wade last year in the first round despite Wade's amazing playoff performance. Celtics won the series during the regular season vs the Heat, but the Heat really had the last laugh. They got the number 2 seed in the East which means they have homecourt advantage in the series. That may play a factor, but I believe Celtics and the Heat can win on the road. Some expected this series to happen in the Eastern Conference Final, but Bulls put that to rest.
In any case, who is the X factor in this series? Rondo to me is obviously the guy who probably will decide this series on his performance. He is back to those clutch performances in the playoffs after last series vs the Knicks. He got his A-game back! Paul Pierce defense will play a factor in this series as well vs Lebron. That is the matchup that may decide the series. One I can't wait to see.
Wade has got to step up. He has not played well vs the Celtics all year. I believe he will have to play well for the Heat to win the series. Point guard defensive play is also a factor for the Heat. Heat doesn't have a very good bench. It is well known to that fact. Than again what do you expect when you spend all your money on starters. Guys like Wade, Bron, and Bosh are gonna play big minutes in their 40s. They are gonna get their numbers as well.
Injury questions for both teams include Shaq, Haslem, and Mike Miller. Miller played little minutes in previous series. Others didn't play a minute. I'm rooting for and expect Boston to beat the Heat in 6.

Since it is halfway into the season and basically six weeks left til the playoffs. I figured everybody should make a bold prediction. My bold prediction is probably the boldest one of them all!!
The NBA Finals will not feature any of the following teams "Spurs, Boston, Miami, nor the LA Lakers"

Their is some reasons why I made this particular post. One because every single day on the boards we have some man love with Tom Brady. It just makes me sick. He is the MVP because he does more with less and yada yada yada. Vick was injured during the season so he can't receive thee award. Vick is a dog killer. His past is the reason he should not be MVP. Blah, blah, blah, blah.....
Let me start out by saying I am one of the very few who backed Vick when he returned last year to the NFL. I still support the guy. I believe he should be MVP. He has done a lot for his football team. Same with Tom Brady. I should also voice I dislike Tom Brady a lot more than any player in the NFL. Never liked the guy and probably never will. That aside....I still believe Vick has had just as good of a season as Brady as. In my opinion a better season.
Brady has played in more games than Vick has. 3 more to be exact. Let's do a little bit of comparison as to how both of them got here. Vick wasn't even scheduled to be the starting quarterback for the Eagles come week 1. It was Kelvin Kolb. I personally believed Vick should have started or at least given the oppurtunity to win the job. That wasn't the case. Kolb was injured so Vick stepped in and had stellar performances til he gets hurt. It kinda goes back and forth til Vick is finally healthy. He keeps the job finally. That is one of the reasons Vick should be the MVP. He wasn't even supposed to the starter. Now he is an MVP candidate? Wow just wow.
As for Brady's side of things. Moss was an issue in the locker room apparently so Bill traded him to the Vikings. They sign Woodhead, trade for Branch and they are set for one great season. No doubt about that statement. To me their is in this quote "Tom Brady has done more with less" unquote. For those of you who wasn't a Pats fan til they started their success. Let me state Branch was on the Pats during Pats Super Bowl runs in the early 00s. He received a Super Bowl MVP award for his performance. The only reason he hasn't been the same player is because the health of himself and the health of his quarterback Matt Hasselback on the Seahawks. As for Woodhead the guy is averaging over 5 yards per carry. He gets very few chances to even run the ball, but he still averages that number. They have finally found their future back in Woodhead. Pats are a passing football team more so than a running. Everyone should know that by now. Welker was a success in Miami before he came to New England. Bill said he would have trouble stopping the guy so eventually picked him up for that fact. The guy avgs 100 catches a year. Very few can reach that mark. Those type of guys arn't less. Just because they arn't superstars don't mean they are garbage without Brady and Belichick. Saying that is slapping all those guys in the face for what they do for that football team. As far as rookie tight ends go they drafted those guys being top tight ends to pick in the draft.
Let's take a look at the famous stat sheet that everybody throws up in the MVP discussion. The number of games will be brought up. Already mentioned it in the post. Brady has thrown for a total of 3561 passing yards. Vick on the other hand has thrown for 2755 yards in 3 less games than Brady. Vick has also rushed for 613 yards and for 8 TDs. Brady has rushed 17 yards for 1 TD. Brady has thrown 1 less interception than Vick also with only 4. Vick has been sacked more times than Brady has which is saying something playing less games than him. Finally Brady has thrown for 31 TDs and Vick has thrown 20 TDs.
To me Vick deserves this award not only because of the stat sheet, but because all of the stuff he has had to go through to get where he is now. Whats your opinion on this?

Heat fans just don't get it. I have explained to you several times about this. I disliked LeBron James long before he made "the decision". I rooted against them every single game when he was on the Cavs. Do the same thing with the Heat now. I criticize James for a bunch of reasons. One I don't think he deserved his first MVP award.....I thought D-Wade was the MVP that year. Another reason I hate James......the guy never gets called for fouls like my favorite player Dwight Howard. Howard gets called for more fouls than probably any star in the NBA. Lebron gets the best superstar treatment of any NBA star in the league. In the East Finals the refs were against the Magic. Even people on these boards agreed with that. The infamous foul Lebron shooting the 3 and Dwight got a clean block and called a foul on it. Youtube it my friend clean ball.
Lebron also showed no sportsmanship after the game. Every single year the supporting cast was criticized. Not James at all. It was never James fault for a loss. It was either supporting cast or the coach. No blame for James. He is constantly praised. More ESPN coverage than Brett Favre. It at least feels that way anyway. Every team he is on they are always chose as the favorite. They never win despite all the talent they bring in. Kobe/James commercial favoriting him to have that matchup. How much more biased do you need to be? They bring in guys like Ben Wallace, Jamison, and Shaq. Still can't get it done. Win a ring for the King bs. Gilbert did everything he could to make James happy. Some feel he quit on the team in the playoffs. The guy loves the spotlight a bit too much.
Go into the summer.....he was more talked about than the NBA Conference Final games. Which is a slap to the face to everybody who is still playing. He is praised all the time for his defensive ability. I made a post about a year ago stating his defense isn't as good as the stats show. Which I thought was very true. All the blocks come against guards going up for layups or from a player who is being guarded by another player. I seen times in the playoffs he would guard the guards rather than the forwards. When he faces a guy like Melo the guy gives up 40. When you face an above avg scorer it isn't so easy is it? Melo is basically at one time the best small forward besides Lebron. Durant has emerged. Never really seen them play each other.
In any case he gets everyone talking about him in the summer. The guy is treated like a super hero/King. He is an arrogant ego maniac. I absolutely hate the guy. He comes on announcing his decision date to decide what team he is going to. ESPN was so annoying all day long. We got a big tribute show for Lebron. I mean it was every hour. It lasted like all week it felt like at least. We heard all the predictions and what not. The day of the thing hear about Wade and Bosh wishing him luck and so on. I was so annoyed by the coverage I was ready to turn the channel before he made it. He finally made it and decided to take his talents to South Beach. Getting all the questions out and what not. Than we get the aftermath coverage that lasts for days. Cav fans burning his jerseys and so on. Of course the Heat were the favorites like every year.
His team previously had the best regular season record in the NBA past two seasons. The talent was there in my opinion anyway. He shows no respect to his former teammates nor his former team. His arrogance will not lead him to a championship. Hope he never wins a thing. He is a piece of garbage. Spits in the way of everybodys accomplishments. Especially the scoring title that was won by Durant. Oh I could have won that if I wanted it. How much of a slap in the face is that? Disrespectful idiot. Than he goes on in interviews like we arn't gonna win one, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or even 7. We are gonna have a dynasty. Him and the so-called three Kings slapping every single NBA team in the face. Acting as if he along with them are better than everyone in the NBA. He expects not to be criticized? Look at these messages from my twitter page. Being superstar isn't all fun. You get payed more money than all those hateful people sent you. I'm sure all those millions of dollars he makes can cure his feelings. No good piece of garbage. Hate his guts. Go cry me a river James. You make more money in a year than any of us make in a lifetime. You don't want to be criticized don't act like you are all that. Don't disrespect former teammates and other teams in the NBA. You are not gonna be given a championship on a silver platter. You gotta work hard for it. Cavs did everything for you and you spit in their face. Refs try their best to give you a championship and you still can't get one. Hope you never do. That will be the worst thing that could ever happen in the NBA. No good piece of crap. Cry to someone who cares. Everyone is criticized. I am as well, but I would rather be criticized and be making the money he is making. Get all the fame with it as well. One of the most praised pieces of crap and still cries about it.

This is obviously my predictions for the playoffs for 2010-11 Eastern Conference. I'll be unbiased here as I was in the Western Conference predictions.

I have been thinking about the wildcard spots. I already have predicted the division winners. Now the wildcard spots are even tougher. Some folks disagree with me. I just wanted to see what everyone elses wildcard predicitons this year. I give the two wildcard spots to........One to the AFC North team and an AFC East team.
AFC West is simply the weakest division in the AFC so it is obvious they are not gonna have a wildcard team.
AFC South is a pretty good division, but with Texans having the toughest schedule in the NFL I don't think they can get it done this year. As for the Titans I don't believe CJ will have another stellar season as he did last year. He is their offense. As for the Colts, I believe the Colts will take the division again this year.
AFC East has in some folks opinion three great playoff caliber teams. I don't see the Dolphins a lot better than last years football team. Marshall is gonna be a bust. Brown is gonna get injured.....again. I don't see it. The Pats will take the division again. At least I believe so. As for the Jets they will take the wildcard spot. Great defense with some problems with chemistry which is the reason I believe they will not take the division. Contract issues with Revis isn't helping the situation either. Let's see if they can get it done without the Colts laying down for them.
AFC North is the best division in the NFL. No question about it.
Bengals made some decent acquistions, but I don't see them getting lucky again this season. They won't be making the playoffs. I don't believe in all the hype. T.O. doesn't make a team that great. If he did than wouldn't a team signed him before the end of July. Antonio Bryant is terrible!! Why do you think they went out and got T.O. They do have weapons as do other teams. Carson Palmer and the passing game isn't the reason they were successful last year nor this year. It will be because of the running game and the defense of the Bengals.
Ravens will be taking the last wildcard spot. Actually they will take the 5th spot because I think they will finish better than the Jets. They have a great football team. I respect that football team as well. Added some weapons and defense is always solid. Ray Rice is gonna be the best running back in the league at the end of the year. That is my prediction if you go by numbers.
As for the Steelers of course they will be winning the division and win the superbowl once again. Surprised??Don't be.....STAY JEALOUS!!

Chris Paul, CP3, whatever you want to call him he is gonna be named the MVP this year. Well that is what I predicted before the season began. His team just come off a win vs the 3 Kings(Miami Heat) with an outstanding performance. 19 assists, 13 points, and an upset victory over the media loved Miami Heat.
The Hornets are for sure making the playoffs unless injuries stop them. I hope for the best for the franchise going forward especially with all the rumors around CP3 wanting out of New Orleans.
In any case, if Okafor and the rest of CP3 teammates help him I think they can be a strong contender, but they have got to stay consistant. Not just during the season, but also in the playoffs. That is my unbiased prediction for the MVP winner for the 2010-11 NBA season.

The LA Lakers!! Being unbiased here........they are without question the best team in the NBA right now. Won 2 consecutive championships and going for a 3peat this year. How can you argue with that?
Until they are dethroned in June they are the best team in the NBA. I liked the additions and subtractions they made during the off-season as well. Steve Blake for Jordan Farmar.....they definately won on that deal. Matt Barnes for Adam Morrison......without question a plus. Love the addition of former Mountaineer in Ebanks. He is a great player. Did great things for WVU. Wish him well going forward.
Their bench is impressive!!
I predict a 3peat by beating the Miami Heat.
