Playoffs? Who's goin to the playoffs in 2011?

This is an update kind of due to recent moves lately.

AFC East:Patriots-Getting Chad and Ellis to me improves their football team. They are better than the Jets.
AFC North:Steelers-They keep proving the doubters wrong and they'll do it again in 2011.
AFC South:Colts-I know I stated on some occassions that they will miss the playoffs. The prediction was made simply because 5 new teams had to get in. At the time, I thought Jets were the better team. Now I feel they have the best chance to get in 2011.
AFC West:Chargers-Raiders got worse, Broncos still suck, and Chargers are gonna be one of them new 5 football teams to make the playoffs in 2011.
AFC Wildcard #5:Ravens-Got respect for the Ravens. No doubt they will be in the playoffs in 2011.
AFC Wildcard #6:Texans-everyones darkhorse, but I didn't pick them last year. I liked the moves they made this offseason and I believe they can finally get to the postseason. Possibly a division title.

NFC East:Eagles-I suspect slow start, but I feel they will finish strong and make the playoffs.
NFC North:Packers-1st division crown since Rodgers has taken over.
NFC South:Saints-I think I have over-rated this football team a bit after their draft. They may win the division. I like the Bucs too.
NFC West:Rams-Gotta love Bradford. Kinda shocked by the lack of moves in FA for weak wr position. I think they can still get the job done o. 49ers will surprise some folks. Watch out!!
NFC Wildcard #5:Cowboys-I say 10 or 11 wins with a playoff berth. Cowboys>Giants
NFC Wildcard #6:Bucs-I wouldn't be shocked if this team wins the division this year. They are under the radar. 10-13 wins possibly.

Pre FA 'Who's goin to the playoffs?' thread

The reason pre FA is in the title: NFL has yet to have free agency. These predictions are before anybody makes that big move to help their team get to the playoffs. I know haters will join on here and say I was wrong after A team made the playoffs after getting a top free agent to help them get there. This is my pre free agency "Who's goin to the playoffs" thread. All haters, critics, friends, and fans are welcome.

The question everyone asks during the off-season is "who is goin to the playoffs." That is why I'm here folks.....to give you the answers. So plz when you're done reading my predictions you can leave a comment, give us your predictions, and enjoy my art. Thank you!!

The better question is "who is not making the playoffs?"
AFC
Bills-HAHA! This may be a shocker to some, but I have Bills finishing 3rd in the AFC East. Of course, they arn't making the playoffs.
Dolphins-Their offense was through the running game. 2 FAs could not return. I don't like Dolphins chances.
Titans-rebuilding mode along with the fact other three teams in division had better drafts in my opinion.
Texans-everyone's beloved darkhorse will again fail to get to the postseason.
Jaguars-You proved me wrong last year, but until you beat the Colts to win the division.....I don't see it happening.
Broncos-I'm hearing chants "Tebow" to end the season. Unfortunately, it won't be in the playoffs.
Raiders-I have them finishing last in their division.
Chiefs-I was happy for the team's success last season. I figure SD will find a way to get back on track to the playoffs.
Bengals-too many questions with the team along with Browns being a better football team.
Browns-a year or 2 away from taking Ravens spot.

NFC
Skins-Big Al making too much dough along with McNabb wanting out. Too many question marks.
Eagles-Teams figured out how to defend Vick. The team will finish 3rd.
Falcons-most over-rated team in the league last year. Gave up too much to get Jones.
Panthers-Could get the number 1 pick next year.
Seahawks-I was shocked they won the division. Division won't be that bad next year.
Cardinals-this team along with 49ers are most of the reason I put pre FA in the title. A quarterback addition could get a division title.
49ers-read Cardinals.
Vikings-Ponder isn't enough. Rice may be gone as well along with Pat Williams.
Bears-prove me wrong
Lions-Have them finishing 2nd......just missed. Next year for sure.

"Who is making the playoffs?"
AFC
Patriots-No one beats them at home.....during the regular season.
Steelers-doubters proved wrong last year. This year will be the same. Only difference.....Super Bowl belongs to Pittsburgh! #7!
Colts-They make the playoffs, I believe 11 straight x.
Chargers-depends on V-Jax return or replacement.
Jets-Didn't make AFC championship 2 straight years for nothing.
Ravens-How far they go depends on their run game.

NFC
Cowboys-4th place schedule along with good draft.
Packers-unless serious injury........
Saints-After that draft....how can you bet against them?
Rams-Shoulda won the division last year.
Giants-D-Jax ain't gonna get that lucky....again.
Bucs-Solid draft......team is only gonna get better.

Surprised??SurprisedDon't be..........STAY JEALOUS!!Cool

Pre FA NFL division winner predictions

AFC East: Patriots-forget all the hype. The team is probably the best when it comes to wins in the regular season. Jets....prove me wrong!

AFC North: Steelers-critics were wrong last go around. This time won't be any different.

AFC South: Colts-Can't bet against them. Made the playoffs 11x straight I believe. Prove me wrong Jags and 5th year darkhorse(laughing) Texans.

AFC West: Bolts-I doubt Chiefs can repeat. Broncos and Raiders just arn't good enough. Bolts are gonna gets their stats and in this case victories as well.

NFC East: Cowboys-getting Romo back with a pretty solid draft. I expect them or Giants to win the division. Either way both are goin to the playoffs.

NFC North: Packers-wins division for the first time in the era of Rodgers.

NFC South: Saints-Brees will have a running game to lead him back to the Super Bowl.

NFC West: Rams-shoulda won it last year. This year they should be able to get the job done.

As you can see I made it nice and easy for ya. I put the division in bold lettering and underlined the team name. Surprised??SurprisedDon't be.......STAY JEALOUS!!Cool

Seahawks vs Bears divisional playoff preview

Wildcard weekend was great. All the games were all except the KC/Baltimore game. In any case the Seahawks went in as a division winner which made them have home field advantage. It really was in that game. Seahawks played a great football game in one of the biggest upsets in playoff history. It was great indeed and I'm gonna be rooting for another upset this weekend when they head to Chicago to take on the Bears.

Both teams won their divisions during the regular season. Bears earned home field advantage and a bye. I've stated on several occasions that I don't believe the Bears are for real. Of course I have been proved wrong before as everyone else have. Unless they get to the Super Bowl this year I won't believe they are for real. They are facing the Seahawks and one would think it will be easy. The Seahawks have gained a ton of momentum after that big win over the Saints. I'm very impressed by them. They are playing playoff football at the right time. I'm calling an upset to be honest. I wouldn't be shocked if they lose next week and the Bears go on to the NFC championship. I'm not a fan of either team, but a fan of upsets. I believe they can get it done.

Seahawks obviously have got to stop the ground game of the Bears and force Cutler to throw the football. On offense try to get the ground game going with Lynch. Put pressure off Hasselback. Lack of weapons for both teams at the receiver position is the reason why both will want to get a running game going and control the clock. The Bears on offense have got to create a running game led by Matt Forte. Seahawks defense isn't known for their rush defense so obviously they should be able to get it done. Defense did pretty well vs the Saints last week. A much better offense than the Bears.Seahawks can get it done if they bring that intensity they brought in the wildcard game. As for Bears defense obviously they got to force Hasselback to throw the football. Control John Carlson in the pass game as well. He had a great game vs the Saints. One of their best targets they have in the passing game. Bears have one of the best defenses in the game. I figure if they play that way than they should win this football game. Again I wouldn't be surprised if Bears take this football game. They should, but I'm picking the Seahawks. I believe they can get it done, but if they don't it really doesn't matter. Unless if the Bears go to the Super Bowl this year I won't believe they are for real. I have the same feeling about the Falcons. Prove me wrong Bears! Go to the Super Bowl! Surprised??SurprisedDon't be........STAY JEALOUS!!Cool

NO vs Seattle wildcard playoff preview

Before I give my preview I wanna state I strongly dislike the Saints cuz all of the fairy tale and who dat crap. I'm rooting for Seattle to win this football game this weekend cuz of that. The reason to state this is to show my unbiased here.

Going into this football game I was rooting for the Rams to face the Saints. Anyways Seattle won the football game Sunday to be the first team to have a losing record to make the playoffs. I at least believe so anyway. Seattle is starting Matt Hasselback their original starter to begin with. Last game he didn't play due to an injury. Hasselback knows the system. Been with the team for years. He gives them the best chance to win this football game I believe if he is healthy. One of the things that he hasn't been his whole career. Injured every now and again. Being a division winner will give the Seahawks home field advantage which I'm all for. In any case they arn't that great either side of the ball. Won the division thanks to the division being terrible period. Worst in the NFL by far. They have a chance to win this football game due to injuries to running backs Chris Ivory and Pierre Thomas going on IR which in my opinion gives them a much better chance than I gave them a week ago. Their rush defense stinks. Figured Saints would rush basically the whole game. That won't be the case cuz of two running backs going on IR. One of the reasons why they won't repeat in my opinion.

They will or should win this football game. The Saints are one of the elite teams in the NFL right now. Known most for the pass. Now that Bush is back he sure should be a reason why they win or lose the football game. Just my opinion anyway. He will be the factor throughout the postseason. Passing game should be able to get through the defense. Running game will be a factor in this football game. If Seattle can stop the run than I give them a good chance. I don't consider this of being a blowout as I did last week. It won't be that close either. I'm giving the Saints the nod despite  it. I think Brees leading the way they should win this football game. If they don't I won't consider Brees anywhere near elite at the quarterback position. Wish the Seahawks the best. Prove the critics wrong and prove me wrong. Win this football game. LOL! Again Saints should win this football game. Surprised??SurprisedDon't be.....STAY JEALOUS!!Cool

Breakdown of NFC playoff teams+Super Bowl pick

This probably don't mean much since I've been wrong about the NFC just about every year I can remember. Picked the Packers in 2007, 2008 picked Giants, and the last year picked Vikings and picked them this year preseason. Of course none of that happened. Let's hope I can get one right. LOL!

I'll state why or why not I'm picking this team to represent the NFC.

Seattle Seahawks: Strong possibility that they can get in to the playoffs with a 7-9 record. Which will be decided this Sunday on NBC vs the Rams. Their starting quarterback is out. Defense isn't great nor is their offense period. I figure if they do make the playoffs they will be their to get beat down by the Saints or Falcons. Without Hasselback they have proven to struggle. That is why I don't like their chances.

Stl. Rams: The Rams could make the playoffs with a victory with an 8-8 record if they come out on top. What a year they have had by being the worst team in football to going to the playoffs. That would be amazing for the franchise and their fanbase. The future looks bright with Bradford behind center. He's in the makings of becoming a star. Leading this team with injured wide receiver after another. Steven Jackson will be a force on the ground and will play a factor. I like them winning the ball game vs the Seahawks, but I don't see a win happening. I see an early playoff exit.

Tampa Bay Bucs: They could possibly make the playoffs, but I doubt it. If they do as a 6th seed I don't see them beating Philly. Freeman has had a phenomanal year.  Great future ahead of him. Along with this franchise. I remember watching a camp preview for the Bucs and they said they would surprise the NFL with a good season as they did. Congrats on the great year.

NYG: Has a possibility to make the playoffs with a Green Bay loss and a win tomorrow. Giants just havn't been the same team. Started off slow than were the hottest team in the NFC than all of a sudden they bomb. Again I doubt they make the playoffs, but if they do they can certainly make a run at a Super Bowl, but if they play like they did the last two weeks I don't like their chances. I'm not picking them to even make the playoffs as of now so.

Green Bay Packers: This may come as a surprise pick and it may not to others, but if they make the playoffs they are the team I pick to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. As long as Aaron Rodgers is healthy I like their chances. I despise the Packers, but I'm picking them. Hope I'm wrong. Unbiased here.....

New Orleans Saints: Saints have played great football the last month thanks to their injured players recovering including Reggie Bush. In any case I don't think their defense would be good enough to fend off the Packers offense or Philly offense. Heck probably even Atlanta's offense. Atlanta's beat them before. That is one of the reasons I don't like their chances. Nothing wrong with their offense I just don't have the confidence in their defense.

Philadelphia Eagles: Vick has been playing like an MVP all year. This team did look unstoppable at one point. I did think about giving the Eagles the nod as the my pick to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl, but they are bit inconsistant. Loss to the Vikings with a 3rd string quarterback? That is what made me 2nd guess myself. Whoever wins that wildcard game between Eagles vs Packers will be my pick, but right now the Packers are for sure.

Chicago Bears: Not a strong believer in the Bears. I really havn't been despite their season this year. Whoever the Bears face at home whether it be Eagles, Saints, or Packers I don't like the Bears in the matchup. I think those three teams are better than the Bears. Just my opinion of course. I'm just not a believer in the Bears.

Atlanta Falcons: This Sunday will decide if the Falcons get homefield advantage and clinch the the division. Which is a big difference for this football team cuz Matt Ryan had led this team to a 19-2 record his last 3 seasons. So home field is good for them. Big difference in win/loss column. I know they won't go to the Super Bowl if they don't get home field advantage. Have a stronger possiblity if they do of course. Personally I think the Falcons are a lucky football team. Their record shows they are 12-3, but I don't believe they are as good as their record. Barely beating Bucs, losing to the Saints in last game. I think the Saints, Packers, Eagles all are better football teams than the Falcons too. Question marks with Eagles and Packers. I know for a fact Saints are the better football team. I despise the Saints. Ask any Saints fan on these boards. They'll tell ya that.

This is my breakdown of all of the NFC teams. Why and why not I pick them. So on and so forth. Tell me what ya think. Packers will represent the NFC.

NFC West title: STL vs SEA preview/prediction

All the talk about a "losing team" making the playoffs could happen if the Rams lose. It would mean a team under .500 would make the playoffs which would be a shame. In any case I want and I'm picking the Rams to win this ball game.

This will be historic for both franchises who have struggled for several years since their last Super Bowl runs. I believe Seahawks hasn't made the playoffs since 2005 season. Rams have only had 5 wins in 3 years. Draft a quarterback with the number 1 pick and get a team possibly in the playoffs for the first time in a while.

Both fanbases want it and need it. Problem is Hasselback isn't starting for the Seahawks this Sunday. IT will be interesting to see how this game goes. Neither team has played nationally that basically at all. They don't play at night. Which really isn't a positive for either team. Again I'll be watching the game hoping it won't be sloppy. What a year both teams have had. Especially the Rams who owned the worst record last year. To say they make the playoffs the following year is really something I would like for them to accomplish. It'd be great for the fans and show a good future going forward. Who you picking to win the NFC West Division title?
