This particular thread is basically to bash teams who have made some dumb decisions on the draft day thus far. Well of course it is everyones opinion.
I'll give you an example: Falcons traded 2 1st and 4th round picks plus a 2nd rounder to get Julio Jones. Some may call it bold. I call it stupid basically trading their draft away for Julio Jones. I believe White posted on twitter they traded their draft away. Obviously White isn't very happy with the trade. Now the Brownies will be battling for the number 2 spot in the division with Baltimore behind Pittsburgh. Nice job....I'm sure the Saint fans along with Buc fans are laughing right now. I would say Carolina is laughing, but you know. At any case, they were the most over-rated team last year. I doubt the team makes it to the playoffs unless they get the 6th slot in the wildcard which I doubt. Saints not only in my opinion will be the division winner, but they should be the best team in the NFC after thee amazing draft they had. Some could argue they had the best draft. The argument is with the Browns. The reason Browns are in the discussion is because all the picks Falcons gave them. Congrats on being the laughing stock of day ones draft. I know I'm not making any friends with Falcon fans, but I speak my opinion. Saint fans probably dislike me just as much as you will after the read. Congrats on trading this years along with next years draft away. I was amazed as I feel Holmgren was when he heard the offer. Julio Jones isn't worth 5 picks. Especially 2 1st round picks! Surprised??Don't be.........STAY JEALOUS!!

Both teams have faced before in a December meeting. It came down to the final seconds. Jets won the football game. To me that doesn't matter nor it will factor in this football game. Just because they won last time doesn't mean that they will win again nor does it mean that they can't beat the Steelers twice. As a Steelers fan I believe the Steelers will win reguardless because in my opinion they are the better football team. I'm sure many others will agree which it doesn't matter what their opinion in. Of course it doesn't matter it won't factor in the football game. If it did Jets wouldn't have won last week nor would the Saints have lost to the Seahawks. Anyways here are the keys for both football teams to win the football game:
Jets: If Cromartie can guard(hold Wallace's jersey and get away with it like last time)Mike Wallace and keep him from making big plays along with defense putting pressure on Ben than they have a good chance of winning the football game. One decisive advantage the Jets have that the Steelers don't is a great special teams. It will play a factor as it did in the last game. Jets scored a TD on special teams last time they played Pittsburgh. Led to a victory despite their offense only scoring one TD!! On offense of course run the football as always. Control the tempo and protect Sanchez. They do all that than they leave with a victory.
Steelers: Stop the run on defense which they are capable of doing. They have stopped the best of the best in the game this year(Hillis, Turner, and the list goes on). Force Sanchez to throw the football. Create turnovers and I figure they will get an INT in this football game. Defense should be alright....if not for McFadden giving up big plays to Edwards Steelers would have won that football game. Of course they can't let them get good field position or let them score on special teams. Wish Steelers would get a touchback on kickoffs more than 5 times a year. LOL! On offense try to get a running game going, protect Ben, and of course don't get penalized. I think the Steelers get penalized for holding 2-5 times every game. Go deep with Wallace cuz the refs may see the pass interference this time. Get Miller involved in the passing game as well. If they do all that they will win the football game.
I do believe it will be a close game. Again picking the Steelers to win which is obvious. Winner goes to Dallas to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. To me the winner of this football game will be crowned the Super Bowl champions of 2010.

Wildcard weekend was great. All the games were all except the KC/Baltimore game. In any case the Seahawks went in as a division winner which made them have home field advantage. It really was in that game. Seahawks played a great football game in one of the biggest upsets in playoff history. It was great indeed and I'm gonna be rooting for another upset this weekend when they head to Chicago to take on the Bears.

Before I give my preview I wanna state I strongly dislike the Saints cuz all of the fairy tale and who dat crap. I'm rooting for Seattle to win this football game this weekend cuz of that. The reason to state this is to show my unbiased here.

As of right now the matchups are set for the wildcard. I will predict who will win those matchups and explain why or why that team does win or lose. I'll do it unbiased here. Despite my hate for the Packers last week I predicted they would represent the NFC in the super bowl which I'm sticking by. Saints to me are the favorites in the NFC. I can say that despite my despise of the Saints. LOL! Don't like a lot of NFC teams to be honest. Let's get to it!
My 2010 NFC playoff predictions:
NFC Wildcard round:
#5 Saints vs # 4 Seahawks-The obvious favorite is the Saints by a big margin. They got the experience in the playoffs plus they are healthy. Seahawks are the first team to make the playoffs with a losing record. That is why all the bets are on the Saints. I am as well picking the Saints. I don't think this will be a passing game myself to be honest. I figure Saints will not have to pass that often. I figure they will run all over the terrible Seahawks defense. All Seahawks really can do on offense is throw the football which is Saints strength on defense is stopping the pass. That is another advantage for them. All factors go towards the way of the Saints winning. Saints win big!!
#6 Packers vs #3 Eagles-This game may be the best game of the week. It will be for the NFC anyway. Coming in this game Eagles have lost their last few games of the season. Not a good way to end a season heading into the playoffs with no momentum. Packers on the other hand do. They have a bunch of momentum that is one of the reasons I like the football team. They beat the Chicago Bears with their starters in to make sure they get their spot in the playoffs. They are just on a roll right now defeating Giants as well. Playing good at the right time despite injuries. The Eagles are coming in with a struggling running game which I don't think will be able to help them vs the Packers. I believe Packers defense will be in Vick's face. Notably Clay Matthews! I don't believe Vick will be able to lead the Eagles to victory with the pass game without some help from the ground game. Packers were ranked one of the top defenses in the league during the season. It isn't gonna be easy to get it done. I don't like their chances and I'm not picking them in this game. I like the Packers and they are my pick. I don't believe their defense can stop Green Bay's passing game which will lead them out of the playoffs.
Picking two wildcards to face win in the divisional round. Interesting........
NFC Divisional round:
#6 Packers vs #1 Falcons-I'm one of those guys who don't believe the Falcons are as good as their record. I stated this last week when I was breaking down each team to get to say who I'm picking to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. The Falcons do have a good running game and a pretty solid passing game, but I don't like them vs the Packers. Falcons did get home field advantage which is a plus. They are much better at home as everyone knows. Record shows it with Matt Ryan behind center. Packers did defeat the Falcons during the season. I believe Packers D can stop their offense. Tampa can I know Packers can. Again Packers offense will be a bit strong for Falcons defense too handle. For them to be successful Turner will have to have a big game to open up for the pass. I don't think they will be able to get it done. I think Packers win by 10 points.
#5 Saints vs #2 Chicago Bears-I'm still one of those nonbelievers in the Bears. I do believe the favorite is the Saints going into this game despite Chicago having home field as well. Saints will be coming in with a bunch of confidence in this ball game after a large margin victory over the Seahawks. Chicago will have to come out with determination and far more passion in this ball game. I mean it feels as if according to reports Bear players are lacking confidence which is why the starters played their final regular season game is they would come in the playoffs with no momentum. That was their fear. Confidence will play a factor of course. I'm picking the Saints to win not only because of that fact, but because I like the Saints offense a lot. Yea Bears have a good defense, but they have yet to face the Saints. It will be rather tough, but they have faced an offense 2x a year that passes just like the Saints. so they may be more prepared than anybody for the Saints. I believe the Bears will need to establish a running game to be successful in this game. They may be able to do that, but I'm betting Cutler will make mistakes to cost the Bears the ball game. He will be facing a rather good pass defense. Cutler has been known to throw INTs in his career. Wouldn't surprise me if he ends the season that way. Saints win 10+
I hate both teams, but I believe they are the best teams in the NFC. Despite record of course. LOL!
#6 Packers vs #5 Saints-If this were to happen both wildcards teams make the NFC championship the Saints will be the ones with the home field advantage. Obviously.....As I said I'm giving the nod to the Packers because of their defense. I figure they will put pressure on Drew Brees which will hurt the Saints chances of winning the ball game. Saints defense has never faced a passing football team like the Packers. Not talking about last year(Indy).Talking about this year. I figure the defense will struggle. Of course I can be wrong, but with the Packers offense so strong and their defense is one of the best I just can't see them losing. The key to the game will be rather or not Brees will be protected. That will decide the game. To me the Packers will come out on top and they will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Surprised??Don't be..........STAY JEALOUS!!

This probably don't mean much since I've been wrong about the NFC just about every year I can remember. Picked the Packers in 2007, 2008 picked Giants, and the last year picked Vikings and picked them this year preseason. Of course none of that happened. Let's hope I can get one right. LOL!
I'll state why or why not I'm picking this team to represent the NFC.
Seattle Seahawks: Strong possibility that they can get in to the playoffs with a 7-9 record. Which will be decided this Sunday on NBC vs the Rams. Their starting quarterback is out. Defense isn't great nor is their offense period. I figure if they do make the playoffs they will be their to get beat down by the Saints or Falcons. Without Hasselback they have proven to struggle. That is why I don't like their chances.
Stl. Rams: The Rams could make the playoffs with a victory with an 8-8 record if they come out on top. What a year they have had by being the worst team in football to going to the playoffs. That would be amazing for the franchise and their fanbase. The future looks bright with Bradford behind center. He's in the makings of becoming a star. Leading this team with injured wide receiver after another. Steven Jackson will be a force on the ground and will play a factor. I like them winning the ball game vs the Seahawks, but I don't see a win happening. I see an early playoff exit.
Tampa Bay Bucs: They could possibly make the playoffs, but I doubt it. If they do as a 6th seed I don't see them beating Philly. Freeman has had a phenomanal year. Great future ahead of him. Along with this franchise. I remember watching a camp preview for the Bucs and they said they would surprise the NFL with a good season as they did. Congrats on the great year.
NYG: Has a possibility to make the playoffs with a Green Bay loss and a win tomorrow. Giants just havn't been the same team. Started off slow than were the hottest team in the NFC than all of a sudden they bomb. Again I doubt they make the playoffs, but if they do they can certainly make a run at a Super Bowl, but if they play like they did the last two weeks I don't like their chances. I'm not picking them to even make the playoffs as of now so.
Green Bay Packers: This may come as a surprise pick and it may not to others, but if they make the playoffs they are the team I pick to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. As long as Aaron Rodgers is healthy I like their chances. I despise the Packers, but I'm picking them. Hope I'm wrong. Unbiased here.....
New Orleans Saints: Saints have played great football the last month thanks to their injured players recovering including Reggie Bush. In any case I don't think their defense would be good enough to fend off the Packers offense or Philly offense. Heck probably even Atlanta's offense. Atlanta's beat them before. That is one of the reasons I don't like their chances. Nothing wrong with their offense I just don't have the confidence in their defense.
Philadelphia Eagles: Vick has been playing like an MVP all year. This team did look unstoppable at one point. I did think about giving the Eagles the nod as the my pick to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl, but they are bit inconsistant. Loss to the Vikings with a 3rd string quarterback? That is what made me 2nd guess myself. Whoever wins that wildcard game between Eagles vs Packers will be my pick, but right now the Packers are for sure.
Chicago Bears: Not a strong believer in the Bears. I really havn't been despite their season this year. Whoever the Bears face at home whether it be Eagles, Saints, or Packers I don't like the Bears in the matchup. I think those three teams are better than the Bears. Just my opinion of course. I'm just not a believer in the Bears.
Atlanta Falcons: This Sunday will decide if the Falcons get homefield advantage and clinch the the division. Which is a big difference for this football team cuz Matt Ryan had led this team to a 19-2 record his last 3 seasons. So home field is good for them. Big difference in win/loss column. I know they won't go to the Super Bowl if they don't get home field advantage. Have a stronger possiblity if they do of course. Personally I think the Falcons are a lucky football team. Their record shows they are 12-3, but I don't believe they are as good as their record. Barely beating Bucs, losing to the Saints in last game. I think the Saints, Packers, Eagles all are better football teams than the Falcons too. Question marks with Eagles and Packers. I know for a fact Saints are the better football team. I despise the Saints. Ask any Saints fan on these boards. They'll tell ya that.
This is my breakdown of all of the NFC teams. Why and why not I pick them. So on and so forth. Tell me what ya think. Packers will represent the NFC.

Chris Paul, CP3, whatever you want to call him he is gonna be named the MVP this year. Well that is what I predicted before the season began. His team just come off a win vs the 3 Kings(Miami Heat) with an outstanding performance. 19 assists, 13 points, and an upset victory over the media loved Miami Heat.
The Hornets are for sure making the playoffs unless injuries stop them. I hope for the best for the franchise going forward especially with all the rumors around CP3 wanting out of New Orleans.
In any case, if Okafor and the rest of CP3 teammates help him I think they can be a strong contender, but they have got to stay consistant. Not just during the season, but also in the playoffs. That is my unbiased prediction for the MVP winner for the 2010-11 NBA season.

All week long I've been hearing......the best team in football is the Patriots. Check the record is their argument. Let me start out by saying your record doesn't win championships. You may have the best record in the NFL, but more likely than not never win it all. If you go by record because they lose in the playoffs. Last year the Colts had the best record in football, but lost in the Superbowl to the Saints. The year before that the Steelers were 2nd in the AFC according to record and Titans were number 1. Titans didn't make it to the AFC championship....Ravens did.
Should I believe the Patriots are the best team in the NFL even though they are looking at their toughest matchups to date against the Colts and the Steelers. I say they arn't until they beat those teams. I highly doubt they will o...., but we can continue the argument even further. The regular season is where the Pats have been one of the best at. Playoffs have been the question. That is where the money is at. That is when you prove you are the best team. I know some may say they were just the best on that day, but if you don't bring your best in the playoffs really you don't deserve to be called champions.
As of now, I still believe the Steelers are the best team in football. Patriots have a tough road ahead. Playoffs is when it matters. That is when Steelers will prove why they are without question the best team in football as I have been saying all summer long. Don't believe it? I guess you are gonna look ignorant like all the others who said the Steelers would miss the playoffs because the bad start without Ben. We all know how that turned out. Steelers just continue to prove you all wrong. Plz stay off the bandwagon. Believe it or not you heard it hear first. First to six, on a stairway to seven. Surprised??Don't be.......STAY JEALOUS!!
